Love was definitely in the air in Reykjavík, Iceland, as singer Mr Eazi and actress Temi Otedola became husband and wife in a low-key but stunning wedding. The ceremony took place more than three years after their engagement, and it was nothing short of magical.
Temi, is best known for her role as Moremi Oluwa in the 2020 film Citation, which earned her a Best Actress award at the 2021 Ghana Movie Awards. She’s also featured in The Man for the Job, directed by Niyi Akinmolayan.
Her groom, Mr Eazi, is the founder of Banku music, a unique sound that blends Ghanaian highlife with Nigerian rhythms. He’s behind hit songs like Leg Over, Legalise, and About to Blow.
The couple’s love story began back in 2018 when they met at a show organised by Temi’s sister, DJ Cuppy. Four years later, in April 2022, Mr Eazi popped the question, and now they’ve finally sealed the deal.
Their wedding was held at the breathtaking Hallgrimskirkja Church, which was beautifully decorated with flowers, turning the place into a dreamy scene straight out of a romance movie.
The guest list was just as impressive, with top entertainers, business icons, and close family in attendance. Big names like comedian Broda Shaggi, Africa’s richest man Aliko Dangote, and other notable figures were spotted celebrating with the couple. Broda Shaggi even shared moments from the event on Instagram, giving fans a sneak peek at the big day.
From the floral-filled venue to the intimate guest list, this was one wedding that proved you don’t need a crowd to make love shine.
