Now get your headphones on and think about calling Timi Dakolo’s “Obim” on whichever audio app you prefer. Judging by how those sweet notes fill the air, it would at least make hearing these cute pictures of Akin Faminu and Kiky Festus an indulging experience because really, they have had me grinning ear to ear since I saw them last night – total heart melting.
The two most distinguished guests at the premiere of “Love In Every Word. The Wedding” were Akin and Kiky, whose the film premiere together last June. They both looked ravishing, showing off the perfect blend of chic and over-the-top love for each other. It is as if they have mastered that effortless but inspiring combination of romance and killer fashion.
Akin, in this sleek midi length black velvety overcoat draped over a long sleeved top with those intricate gold embroidery details, went further with a flowing tan traditional skirt, the length culminating at his ankles, don’t even get me started on that accessory game with layers and heavy red coral beads around his neck, a bold red cap topped with a single feather, plus a traditional hand fan and some dark shades which screamed cool and collected. The guy really knows how to strike a regal note with a captured modern twist.
Kiky was fabulous in her vibrant green and gold ensemble that complemented him fully. She flaunted an off-the-shoulder gold corset with structured sleeves heaving with further embellishments tucked over the deep emerald wrapper glimmering with beads and sequins. Her headtie in a matching dark green wrapped everything up so neatly, framing her face just right. She held a feathered fan personalized with “KIKY” shining on it, and kept her jewelry simple yet on point with gold and green accents. Now that is coordination goals.
