Nigerian singer Ayra Starr and South African singer, Tyla have earned four nominations for the 2024 MTV Europe Music Awards.
The list of nominees, released on October 9, 2024, includes Ayra Starr in categories such as ‘Best African Act,’ ‘Best Push,’ ‘Best Afrobeats,’ and ‘Best New Artist.’
Other Nigerian artists nominated in the ‘Best Afrobeats’ category include Burna Boy, Tems, Asake, and Rema.
South African artist Tyla also received four nominations, including ‘Best New,’ ‘Best Afrobeats,’ ‘Best African Act,’ and ‘Best R&B.’
The 30th edition of the MTV EMAs will take place on Sunday, November 10, 2024, at Manchester’s Co-op Live in the UK.
