Naya is an actress, producer, and businesswoman from Nigeria. She was born to Nigerian parents on April 17, 1989, in London, United Kingdom. Beverly Naya made her acting debut in the Nigerian film industry (Nollywood) in 2009 with the film “Guilty Pleasures.” She became well-known in 2011 after appearing in the popular Nollywood film “The Wedding Party.” Since then, she has made appearances in a number of Nollywood films, such as “When Love Happens,” “Weekend Getaway,” “Something Wicked,” “Chief Daddy,” and “The Eve.”
Beverly Naya is not only an actor, but also a director. She created the 2018 documentary “Skin,” which examined the problems with colorism and bleaching in Nigeria. At the 2019 Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards, the documentary took home the trophy for Best Documentary. She has also received recognition for her acting, including Best Actress in a Leading Role at the 2016 Africa Magic Viewers Awards and Most Promising Talent at the 2010 Best of Nollywood Awards. Also as an entrepreneur, she launched a skincare line, “Be Naya Beauty,” which offers natural and organic skincare products in 2020.
