The song portrays the struggles of her personal life as regards her mental health. Though this music was released this year, she claims to have composed it four years ago inside her bedroom. ‘Anxiety’ is a sound that has captivated fans and audiences for the masterpiece that it is. The sound also garnered a lot of attention from its use in recreating the scene from ‘The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air’.
The song depicts and reiterates the constant battle between anxiety and inner strength. In the song, she was constantly in a fight, trying to win over anxiety by all means. She painted it as something trying to make her keep a closed mouth but then, she let her inner strength prevail instead.
She released a video of the song which is nothing short of exciting. At least there’s finally a culmination of visuals a accompany the rich message being passed from the song. The video was directed by James Mackel and the first scene involved Doechii walking in a massive house with a staff. But just when things seemed perfect, they quickly got into a state of chaos happening everywhere around the house.
