June Ubi is one bold and vivacious radio presenter and she describes her style as vibrant. As a music artist, she is fresh, energetic, and vibrant and her sound pays homage to her African heritage and London upbringing blending English and African dialect in her songs.

When it comes to fashion and style, June’s style like her sound is a hybrid of African and British cultural influences. According to her;

I’m a lover of fashion and style, I dress according to my mood. My looks consist of colour and tones. You can mainly see me in the day wearing trainers and that’s because I have always loved cool kicks and I love the fact that I can style it with jeans, dresses, shorts, cool T-Shirt basically anything. Then in the evening, you will catch me in a nice pair of heels. I like great cut, really cool, modern and fresh looks.

She’s an Afropolitan babe and uses her vast range of music knowledge, personal experiences, prints, and colours to communicate her personality with her audience. June Ubi’s style message is one of individuality – doing you no matter what and looking good while you’re doing it. Her ultimate goal is to entertain and inspire.

Top three dishes to eat
I like eating Jollof Rice or Basmati rice with stew, plantain, chicken, beef or fish. Pepper soup with yam and assorted meat or catfish. I also like having dessert. Apple crumble or apple pie and custard.

Top three African designers
These are the three African designers that I really like: Caroline Chi Chi Chinakwe, Lisa Folawiyo, and Soboye but I also like discovering new designers coming out of Africa

Top three travel destinations
Three travel destinations that I love are the Amalfi Coast, Maldives, and Bali

Top three activities to do for time out
I like walking, jogging and cycling on a waterfront or on the streets, relaxing at home listening to music and going to really nice restaurants

Three favourite films
It’s really hard to choose three top films because there are so many top/amazing films that I love but these are three films that I love: Scarface, Toy Story, and Titanic.
