Lil Kesh opened up about the issues he’s currently facing with his mental health and how he has diagnosed himself with ADHD. In this reveal, he also made mention of the fact that he has been dealing with anxiety since childhood. On the Esther show, he shared the fact that he has experienced symptoms that have been tagged as just mere hyperactivity, but deep down, he knows it goes beyond that. He also mentioned the fact that emotional fogginess contributes greatly to his anxiety, but the moment he gains clarity about the matter, anxiety usually gives way.
To our suprise, he mentioned that he has never been in therapy; his reason being that he doesn’t have enough trust in the mental health systems in Nigeria. He also complained generally on the poor state of things in the country. There is so much disorganization everywhere that it has eaten deep into almost every sector.
Lil Kesh emphasized that while he acknowledges the importance of mental health support, his lack of faith in Nigeria’s mental health infrastructure has kept him from seeking professional help. He expressed a desire for a more organized and trustworthy system that genuinely addresses mental health challenges, noting that the country’s widespread disarray has made it difficult for individuals to get the help they truly need.
