After years of speculation, fan debates, and endless rumors online, the search for the next James Bond has officially begun.
Amazon MGM Studios confirmed that auditions are now underway for the actor who will replace Daniel Craig as the next 007, marking the beginning of a brand-new era for one of Hollywood’s most iconic franchises.
The announcement comes five years after the release of No Time To Die, Craig’s final appearance as James Bond. Since then, fans have constantly speculated over who could step into the legendary role, with names like Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Callum Turner, Henry Cavill, Tom Holland, and Jacob Elordi repeatedly mentioned by fans online.
In an official statement, Amazon MGM Studios said:
“The search for the next James Bond is underway.”
The studio also revealed that they do not plan to share specific audition details yet, but promised more updates “when the time is right.”
Leading the casting process is acclaimed casting director Nina Gold, known for her work on major productions including Game of Thrones, Star Wars, Paddington, and Jurassic World.
The upcoming Bond film is already building serious anticipation behind the scenes. Acclaimed filmmaker Denis Villeneuve, best known for Dune, has officially signed on to direct the next Bond movie, while Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight is writing the screenplay.
According to multiple reports, Amazon may be looking for a younger British actor to carry the franchise for many years. Some insiders have suggested the studio wants a fresh face rather than an already overexposed Hollywood superstar.
This will also be the first Bond movie fully shaped under Amazon MGM’s creative leadership after longtime producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson stepped back from the franchise.
With auditions now officially underway, the biggest question remains: Who will become the next James Bond?
And honestly, replacing Daniel Craig may be one of the hardest casting decisions Hollywood has faced in years.
