Transform Your Look with the Vintage Braided Updo: A Step-by-Step Guide to Timeless Elegance

When you say “vintage”, what it brings to mind is the ability to blend style and nostalgia. If you want to go out of the everyday braiding pattern, a vintage updo will be a perfect choice. This elegant look has graced the heads of Hollywood starlets and vintage icons alike, making it a must-try for any special occasion. In this guide, we’re going to be taking you through a step-by-step process on how to achieve this hairstyle.

Prepare Your Hair

Before you begin, make sure your hair is clean and dry and if need be, you can texturize to make braiding easier.

Section Your Hair

Divide your hair into the top, middle, and lower section in order to make your braids come together perfectly at the middle.

Create the Braids

Braid the upper, middle, and lower sections to bring them together. After braiding, you need to bring the ends together to form the updo. Gently tug at the braids to create a more relaxed, vintage feel. Use hairspray to hold everything in place. If you want to enhance the look, add decorative hairpins or flowers for a touch of elegance.
