Former President of the United States of America, Barack Obama has released his annual list of his top songs for 2020.
On Saturday, 19th of December, he took to his social media page to share his favourite songs for 2020. Nigerian song “Essence” by Wizkid featuring Tems was among his Top 30 favourite songs. “Essence” is a song from Wizkid recent album, “Made in Lagos.”
This is not the first time Obama will be featuring Nigerian songs on his favorite songs for the year. Stars like Rema and Burna Boy have been featured on his favorite songs.
Obama described his daughter Sasha as the family’s ‘Music Guru.’ Stating that he had some valuable consultation from her before he made the list of his favorite songs.
“Here are some of my favourite songs of the year. As usual, I had some valuable consultation from our family music guru, Sasha, to put this together. I hope you find a new song or two to listen to.”He wrote on twitter
