Nigerian rapper Zlatan Ibile and his wife, Davita Lamai, have made a statement with two traditional wedding looks that celebrate their cultural backgrounds. The couple marked their special day on Saturday, October 24, with a wardrobe that moved from richly detailed Edo-inspired attire to coordinated Yoruba traditional outfits.

For their first look, Davita embraced her Edo heritage in a custom burgundy gown by Dova Bridals. The fitted design featured a corseted bodice, a sweetheart-inspired neckline, sheer long sleeves, and a mermaid silhouette with a sweeping side train. Intricate red beadwork across the gown added texture, while her traditional Okuku crown, layered coral necklaces, and sheer red veil completed the bridal ensemble.

Zlatan complemented his bride in a custom ivory outfit by Deji & Kola. His look featured a textured coat with red beadwork along the shoulders and hem, paired with an ivory traditional cap, coral beads, and a carved wooden staff. The coordinated red accents brought both outfits together while keeping the focus on the details of their respective ensembles.
The couple later changed into their second traditional wedding outfits, this time celebrating Zlatan’s Yoruba roots in a softer colour palette of lemon yellow and mint green. Davita wore a custom two-piece design by Mazelle Bridal, featuring a sculpted bodice, flared sleeves and mint-green floral appliqué across the fitted skirt. A pleated yellow gele, sheer draping, statement jewellery and a matching green clutch completed her look.

Zlatan matched her in a mint-green agbada by Mazelle Bridal, detailed with subtle embroidery across the chest. He accessorised with a coordinating fila, layered white beads and a carved green walking stick, bringing the different elements of his outfit together.
Both looks were styled by Goodnews Emmanuel Icon, with each outfit change offering a different expression of the couple’s cultural heritage. From the deep burgundy and ivory of their first appearance to the fresh yellow and green combination of their second, Zlatan and Davita made their traditional wedding wardrobe a celebration of both families and their roots.

The two looks have given the couple a memorable fashion moment as they begin this new chapter together.
