Avocado is actually a fruit, in case you are confused seeing it on the list. This super fruit is a great one because it is low in sugar, yet it is delicious to eat and packed with nutrients. Avocados supply healthy fatty acids good for the heart, and equally supplies magnesium which is said to be an important mineral connected to muscular and neurological functions. You can eat avocado by itself, eat it with bread, or add it to your smoothies.

It’s cliche but, an apple a day definitely keeps the doctor away. Apples are packed with fibre, vitamin C, and phytochemicals and this should be eaten by the whole family. They contain phenolic compounds which are antioxidant compounds that are great in aiding the healthy cellular function and proper flow of blood. It has been proven that apples when eaten frequently, have the possibility of reducing the potential risk of heart disease.

Oranges are refreshing fruits to take, and as we know, they are loaded with vitamin C, but that’s not all. Oranges and other citrus fruits have antioxidative, anti-inflammatory and anti-cancer properties, now isn’t that amazing!! 

Oranges can be taken on their own and can also be used in different other ways.

Guavas are tropical fruits which are delicious and packed with vitamin C, potassium, fibre, and some levels of folate. They are good ways of boosting your immune system. Guavas can be taken on their own or added to different recipes.

This fruit is bright red, it’s sweet and it’s juicy. They are packed with vitamin C and antioxidants and are great for the health of the heart and the control of blood sugar. They also are a good source of manganese and contain a great amount of vitamin B9 and potassium too.

Citrus fruits are high in vitamin C and lemons are not left out. Lemons are also high in flavonoids, folate and potassium which all have good benefits for the body. You can make lemonades from lemons and they can be added to different recipes.
