Good Morning Glamstyla, what a pleasant Tuesday Morning we have had, and for that reason, we bring you BankeKuku of every Nigerian fashion street that has been keeping the game going and the buzz bubbling.

Born in the 90s and 98 to be precise, Banke embarked on the creative cruise that would bridge her Nigerian roots with her British upbringing, resulting in a unique and artistic expression of creation and creativity. At the age of eight, she was relocated to the United Kingdom, where her rare artistic talents would flourish.

This creative path led Banke to Central St Martins College, where her artistic skills were nurtured and cared for though not intentionally or special attention given to her, but talent is never hidden is it? She furthered her formal education at Chelsea College of Art and Design, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Textiles at just age 19. Her early career was marked by valuable experiences working with renowned fashion houses and collaborating with the Designers Guild on fabric design for the Royal collection, which graced Buckingham Palace in 2010.

In 2011, Banke Kuku took a massive step by launching the textiles arm of her business her designs are a captivating mix of her Nigerian heritage and British aurora, resulting in flexible, captivating, and aesthetic prints that leave a lasting impact, and she prides in herself in the fact that this cultural amalgamation is at the heart of her creative process.

Banke Kuku Textiles has overtime thrived through collaborations, catering to clients with discerning tastes and specific project requirements. Her collaborations span a vast market of operation, covering fashion prints for seasonal collections, stylish accessories, and interior fabrics and furniture for both residential and corporate clients.

Banke’s creations have found their way into the wardrobes of notable figures like Michelle Obama and Lupita Nyong’o. Her designs have graced prestigious events, including New York Fashion Week, creating a rock-solid reputation for her and her brand as a genius and talented textile artist.
