This distinctive style features a series of cornrows or braids that are typically parted in the middle and extend from the forehead to the nape of the neck. The braids are often adorned with beads, cowrie shells, or other decorative elements, adding to the style’s unique and intricate appearance.

The Fulani braiding style is one which involves parting the natural hair into two or more sections, which are then braided or cornrowed into the most artistic designs and waves from the forehead to the nape of the neck. The braids after completion, can be decided to be styled straight down or in various ways, such as looping, wrapping them around the head, or even creating a ponytail effect. Also, the braids can be accessorized with finely colored  beads, vintage cowrie shells, shiny bows, or other decorative elements like a Scrunchies to add to the overall aesthetic.

Braid Maintenance

Braids last differently for many people, and depending on how much you care for your hair, you necessarily might not need to be on a hair changing spree, but will let your hair glow even more with time. There is even a fallacy that braids get prettier with time but that of course should not be a major factor to consider.

So to properly take care of your braids to avoid quick wear out and maintain appearance:

Oil The Scalp Regularly: just like how you apply moisture for the preservation of hair and skin, oil helps to keep the hair hydrated reducing the dryness and itchiness of the braids. The moisturized hair also does not Flake, and flaking causes a dirt outlook on the hair, so this is another advantage. Lastly, some people experience hair fall out after braiding their hair, but oiling promotes hair growth.

Avoiding Excessive Tension On The Braids :  excessive tension causes hair breakage, and scalp irritation so to avoid these, reducing the tension on the braids while it is being made is important. This will also help to maintain a defined braid setting, avoiding Fuzziness.

Visit The Hairdresser For Regular Touch-ups: Regular touch-ups will help maintain hair neatness by re-tightening loose ends, and general hair and braid treatment to avoid any dirtiness look of any kind.

Choose from the wonderful selection of Fulani braids, and see that you look beautiful
