Avengers: Doomsday tickets will officially go on sale on July 20, giving Marvel fans the chance to secure seats for one of the MCU’s biggest releases months before it arrives in theaters.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Disney is preparing an early ticket launch for Infinity Vision screenings, a new premium large-format experience created specifically for select screenings of Avengers: Doomsday. The move comes nearly five months before the film’s theatrical release on December 18.
The early ticket sales are part of Disney’s strategy to secure premium-format screens after Warner Bros. reserved IMAX theaters for Dune: Part Three for several weeks following both films’ December releases. By introducing the Infinity Vision format, Disney is ensuring Marvel fans will still have access to a premium viewing experience.
Alongside the ticket announcement, Disney has also revealed that Avengers: Doomsday is expected to run for 165 minutes, making it one of Marvel Studios’ longest films. The runtime places it between 2018’s Avengers: Infinity War, which ran for 149 minutes, and 2019’s Avengers: Endgame, which lasted 181 minutes. While the final edit could still change slightly before release, the reported runtime is unlikely to shift significantly now that ticket sales are being scheduled.

Disney is also planning to bring Avengers: Endgame back to theaters with a special Avengers: Endgame Encore re-release on September 25, featuring Infinity Vision screenings. The 2019 blockbuster remains the second-highest-grossing film of all time, earning nearly $2.8 billion at the global box office.
The Avengers: Doomsday tickets announcement comes just days before Marvel Studios is expected to take the stage at San Diego Comic-Con on July 25. The presentation is widely expected to include the first full trailer for the highly anticipated film, with an online release likely to follow shortly after.
The film will reunite some of the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s biggest heroes as they face Doctor Doom, played by Robert Downey Jr. in a surprising return to the franchise after previously portraying Iron Man.
The star-studded cast includes Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Chris Evans as Steve Rogers, Anthony Mackie as Captain America, Paul Rudd as Ant-Man, Pedro Pascal as Mister Fantastic, Tom Hiddleston as Loki, Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova, Sebastian Stan as the Winter Soldier, Vanessa Kirby as the Invisible Woman, Simu Liu as Shang-Chi, Letitia Wright as Black Panther, Patrick Stewart as Professor X, Ian McKellen as Magneto and Rebecca Romijn as Mystique, among several other returning Marvel stars.
Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, Avengers: Doomsday is shaping up to be one of Marvel Studios’ biggest cinematic events yet, with Avengers: Doomsday tickets expected to be in high demand when sales begin on July 20.
