Ayra Starr has shared how meeting Rihanna made her feel, describing it as one of the most exciting moments of her life.
In a chat with ETalk TV, the Mavin Records star said meeting her idol was a dream come true and something she will never forget. She was thrilled to find out that Rihanna is a fan of her music.
“I’m my favourite artist’s favorite artist,” Ayra said with so much joy, explaining that the experience felt unreal and very humbling.
She couldn’t stop praising Rihanna, calling her “an amazing artist, woman, and person in general.”
Ayra admitted that she felt nervous around Rihanna and often cracked jokes just to calm herself.

“She is such an amazing person. To be honest, it still feels like a dream. I love her so much. People always say, ‘never meet your idols’, but I’m so glad I met mine because she’s just an amazing person. And the fact that she loves my music; I’m my favourite artist’s favourite artist.
“She’s such an amazing artist, an amazing woman, an amazing person in general; somebody to look up to. I know I chose a great role model, and being able to be around her, I usually don’t know what to do with myself. When I get nervous around her, I try to make unnecessary jokes.”
Ayra also said she’s excited about the possibility of working with Rihanna in the future.
