Former president of the United States of America, Barack Obama, has released his top songs for 2023. As always, his playlist covers different genres across the globe, highlighting the songs he enjoyed over the year.

Afrobeats was not left out of his list as it takes centre stage, featuring captivating tracks such as Davido and Musa Keys’ “Unavailable,” Tems’ soulful “Me & U,” and the Grammy-nominated “Amapiano” by Asake and Olamide. Making a triumphant return from Obama’s 2022 list, Burna Boy graces the lineup once again with “Sittin’ On Top Of The World,” this time accompanied by the dynamic presence of 21 Savage.

R&B also make the list, with Megan Thee Stallion‘s “Cobra,” Stromzy and Fredo‘s “Toxic Trait,” Victoria Monét‘s “On My Mama” and Tyla‘s “Water.”
