Boyfriend Blush: The Hottest TikTok Makeup Trend You Need to Try!

TikTok is brimming with makeup tips, tricks, trends, and hacks, and the latest buzz is all about “Boyfriend Blush.”

In a recent video, TikTok creator Mallory Osses explains that this trend isn’t new. It’s been a staple in high fashion, editorial, and runway makeup for at least a decade. Osses describes “Boyfriend Blush” as a technique to achieve a “youthful and sporty” flush. Using a photo of Prince William and Harry, she illustrates how the natural redness on their cheeks and across the bridge of their noses is the ideal placement for this blush. Essentially, “Boyfriend Blush” aims to replicate the flushed look of a man, or your boyfriend, after a workout.

In another post, she explains that the “Boyfriend Blush” placement is different from other blush trends because it avoids placing products on the apples of the cheek. Instead, she instructs her followers to start tapping the blush near the tragus part of the ear and bringing it forward just under the cheekbone and towards the nose to create a triangle. She relays that this technique creates a more natural flush as you’re not using a lot of blush to carve out your cheekbones or accentuate your face.
