Celebration As The Black Book Movie Rockets To Netflix’s #1 Movie In The World In Just Few Days

The Black Book is one Nollywood project that has every well-meaning Nigerian smiling as the news of it getting international recognition is spreading like wildfire. The 2023 crime thriller film holds a goosebump-giving line of casts starring Richard Mofe-Damijo, Sam Dede, Denola Grey,  Alex Usifo, Ireti Doyle, Shaffy Bello, Ade Laoye, Femi Branch and proudly directed and produced by Editi Effiong.

Released to Netflix on the 22nd of September, The Black Book has gone all the way with an incredible performance to the top ranking stage as the #1 film in the world on Netflix, and according to official Netflix data, the film hit #4 in the whole world only but after two days of release. This is an insane performance from the local to global scenes in history.

Social media is going crazy, the media scenes are mad with excitement, all sites in the country now call our man Mofe-Damijo who is the main character in the film, ‘The Nigerian John Wick’, who’ll be able to contain this joy? who’ll not feel this as a breath of fresh air and relief? Africa is definitely taking over the global stage.

The film has been getting a lot of recommendations and reviews, media houses are also singing praises for such a fine performance that reflected the dark underbelly of the society and those daring enough to make a change of the system.
