Did we or did we not tell you Ebuka Obi–Uchendu was going to eat this launch night up? The man never misses, and Big Brother Naija season is the perfect stage for his fashion slayage.
For his first appearance, Ebuka came through with a modern-meets-iconic vibe – rocking a crystal-embellished blue denim jacket over wide flared pink trousers. Inspired by Nollywood legend Nkem Owoh (yes, Osuofia himself from Osuofia in London) and brought to life by Nigerian designer ATAFO, the look was pure nostalgic cool.
But hold on, because the second look? A moment. Ebuka switched lanes to honour the one and only King Sunny Ade, stepping out in a full traditional ensemble dripping in Yoruba royalty energy. He wore a bold pink lace agbada with striking white embroidery flowing down the front, paired with matching lace trousers.
The details were everything – coral beads stacked around his neck and wrists, a perfectly tailored fila (yes, matching the lace), black shoes to balance the fit, and those dark sunglasses giving us that “modern cool meets cultural pride” finish.
If there’s one thing about Ebuka, it’s that he knows how to make tradition feel fresh, elevated, and oh-so-effortless. Now the big question is: will we be blessed with a third look tonight? Fingers crossed!
Scroll down for all the photos because this agbada moment deserves its own spotlight.
