Faith Bwalya Becomes The First Zambian To Reach Miss World Quarterfinals

Faith Bwalya, a 24-year-old from Kitwe, has made her country proud by becoming the first Zambian woman to make it to the quarterfinals of the Miss World pageant.She was crowned Miss World Zambia on April 20, 2025, and even though she didn’t have much time to prepare, she quickly got ready to represent Zambia at the Miss World Festival in Hyderabad, India.

Out of more than 100 contestants from different countries, Faith stood out. She earned a spot in the Top 40 after winning the Head-to-Head Challenge for Africa, a part of the competition where the girls talk about important topics and show how well they can speak and express their ideas.

This big win means a lot for Zambia. Faith’s success has inspired so many people back home. And the best part is that she’s still in the race. The final event is coming up on May 31, 2025.

Her journey shows how hardworking and determined she is and it also puts Zambia in the spotlight on a global stage. As the competition continues, Faith is a true example of pride, strength, and hope for many.
