Nigerian music fans are ecstatic as young musician Fido combines with veteran singer-songwriter Kizz Daniel on a remix of the chart-topping hit “Joy Is Coming.”

Originally released on December 26, 2024, “Joy Is Coming” quickly rose to the top of Apple Music Nigeria’s charts, attracting fans with its addictive blend of Afrobeats and highlife rhythms.

The remix, which features Kizz Daniel, was teased on social media, eliciting a flood of responses from fans. While some listeners applauded Fido and Kizz Daniel’s smooth vocal harmony, others questioned if the remix was necessary considering the success of the original.

Fido, born Awosika Olayemi Josiah, is from Matogun, Ogun State, Nigeria. His musical journey began in his local church choir, and he is inspired by legends like Fela Kuti as well as contemporary musicians like Olamide and Kizz Daniel.
