Former security guard Jonathan Monroe has filed a lawsuit against Kanye West, claiming the rapper did not pay him for his services.
According to court documents, West hired Monroe in August 2021 to provide security at his Malibu home, agreeing to pay him $30 per hour.
Monroe asserts that he worked between 36 to 50 hours each week but never received any payment.
He also claims that when he raised concerns about the unpaid wages, West fired him in October 2021.
The lawsuit seeks compensation for unpaid wages, interest on the owed amount, and punitive damages.
This legal dispute comes shortly after West sold his Malibu mansion for $21 million, which is significantly lower than its original listing price of $53 million.
