The plot resolves around Elly Conway the recluse author of a best-selling espionage novel series who tends to prefer quiet nights with her cat, Alfie but when her novel character started coming to life by depicting the exact occurrences in a real-life spy organization and her novel main character agent Argylle, then things became a lot worse than they ever should have become.
