If you’re thinking about having an Igbo traditional wedding and you want to make a statement with something that’s both classic and luxurious at the same time, then I think we should talk about how we can incorporate those gorgeous coral beads in a way that’s truly regal.

I’ve seen this absolutely breathtaking bridal look that’s taking over the scene, and I think it’s just the epitome of that fusion between cultural richness and modern day glamour. Essentially, it’s about taking that traditional Igbo wear and taking it to the next level with all those intricate details that scream high class without going overboard.

So imagine a full brown outfit that’s basically going to be used as background for everything. The outfit itself, designed by Oga Okoro, is a george wrapper and blouse fully covered in patterned coral beads.

What really makes it stand out is the train, which adds that extra element of drama and flow to the gown as it makes its way down the aisle. It is not simply a gown, it is a statement piece that pays homage to Igbo heritage but also brings in the modern touch.

On to the accessories where the regal theme really comes into its own. The coral beads, which the seller by Fibeads provides, are stacked generously but tastefully. Think of necklaces, bracelets, and perhaps even earrings that echo traditional Igbo symbolism of prosperity and beauty.

The makeup is also an essential component, courtesy of Glam by Moh. It is subtle but striking, with earth tones to complement the brown of the gown and the coral. Flawless skin, defined brows, and some sparkle on the eyes to keep it fresh and bridal.
