On Saturday, Rihanna attended the launch of Fenty Beauty at ULTA Beauty in Los Angeles wearing a sexy silver crop top with a matching column skirt in glittering fabric. The singer had her torso on display, as has been her style since announcing that she and boyfriend A$AP Rocky are expecting their first child in late January.
Across her waist, she wore an intricate chain and accessorized with a silver bracelet and diamond earrings. Rihanna’s hair was swept up in a high updo and she kept her makeup simple, with coral pink lipstick and light glimmering eye shadow.
The beauty mogul has talked a lot about her fashion choices while pregnant, and how it has been important to her to have fun and feel sexy when going out. In an interview with People in February, she said it was a “challenge” to get dressed, but she added, “I like it. I’m enjoying it.”
She continued, “I’m enjoying not having to worry about covering up my tummy. If I feel a little chubby, it’s like, whatever! It’s a baby!”
“Right now, being pregnant, some days you just feel like, ‘Ugh, I just want to lay here on this couch all day,’” Rihanna continued. “But when you put on a little face and a little lipstick, you transform.”
She concluded, “You put some clothes on, and it’s like, when you look good, you feel good. I’ve heard that for a very long time, but it’s true. It really can get you up off that couch and make you feel like a bad bitch.”
A$AP and Rihanna announced their pregnancy with a photoshoot shared on the last day of January. At the time, a source told People, “Having a baby is something she was never focused on, but being with Rocky opened her up to the idea…she’s loving all the changes to her body during pregnancy and has always celebrated pregnant women in her runway shows for Fenty.”
