‘The Johnsons’ Actress Ada Ameh Dies at 48

Ada Ameh known for her role in Africa Magic family drama, “The Johnsons,” died on sunday night, July 17 around 11pm.

As noted by Punch, It was gathered that she gave up the ghost on the way as she was being rushed to the nearby Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation Hospital.

She was open about her ongoing battle with mental illness, which according to the star, was slowly killing her.

I have an issue right now that can take my life, but I won’t die. I would get over it,” the actress said in June. “I was given a job but didn’t do it because I have mental health issues. Will people understand it if you have mental issues? No, they wouldn’t. They are slamming me with a bill, suing me. It’s okay.”

The actress, in 2020, had lost her only daughter Aladi Godgift Ameh, whom she gave birth to at the age of 13, following an unsuccessful surgery.

According to her, this happened because peers introduced her to sex early.

Despite her early motherhood, the actress, in October 2020, lost her daughter, Aladi Godgift, who was over 30 years old.

Aladi had died after an unsuccessful surgery in Abuja, and the actress, last year, visited her daughter’s grave site to mark the deceased one-year remembrance.

She had also celebrated her daughter on the latter’s posthumous birthday.
