Akanni Trend is a Nigerian clothing brand created on the 27th of July 2019, located in Surulere, Lagos. The brand was named after its founder Lawal Samad Akanni.

How did the brand get its name?

According to Lawal Samad Akanni, the founder of Akanni Trend ;

“It all started when I made a cloth for my mum and she showed it to her friend and while he was advising me about the type of work I should do, he kept making use of the word ‘trend.’ And just like how artistes get inspirations for their songs from things around them, I decided to use ‘trend’ as my brand name. The next day, I made a cloth and printed ‘trend’ on it but people told me it was not unique enough then I decided to add my middle name ‘Akanni’ and that’s how I named the brand, Akanni Trend.”

The brand has unique designs which are catchy and flow with modern-day trends. From outfits to caps/bucket hats to slides, the brand makes outstanding fashion statements.

The brand creates outfit for all age range and are created to fit perfectly no matter the body type. Deliveries are made to Nigeria and other countries.
