When Yemi Alade said her world was round, it wasn’t just poetry — it was foreshadowing. After four years of planning, pausing, and refining, the Afrobeats powerhouse has entered the beauty industry. Say hello to Yem Beauty, her very own makeup brand, making its grand entrance with a bold lipstick-and-lip pencil duo called Nairobi.

But this isn’t just any red. Yemi calls it her “first baby” — a shade she describes as “a fiery and cool burst in a bottle.” In simpler terms, it’s the power red you wear when you’re ready to own the room and leave no doubt about it.

And of course, Queen Yemi didn’t just drop the product; she gave us a whole production. The launch came alive in a crimson-soaked photoshoot that screams confidence and royalty. One look shows her seated regally, hair twisted into a crown, drenched in statement jewelry, lips coated in Nairobi. Another captures her in a gown dripping with sequins, beads, and a cape flowing like stage armour — the kind of drama only Yemi can pull off.

With Yem Beauty now on the map, one thing is clear: this is more than makeup. It’s a statement, a legacy in the making.
