10 Amazing Fruits to Take for a Healthier Self

Eating fruits is a great option to gain good health, inwardly and outwardly. It’s been researched that taking enough fruits daily would aid in keeping you in a good mood, and keep the possibility of type 2 diabetes, obesity and heart disease. 

We tend to deny ourselves of the needed nutrients which are all found in fruits. Every day, as much as you can, take fruits, especially as snacks when you are craving what to munch on instead of taking processed snacks. 

Today in this article, we bring to you 10 amazingly healthy fruits to take and their benefits to the body.

1. Mangoes


Mangoes are filled with vitamin C, beta-carotene and potassium. Mangoes are delicious and refreshing, so there’s no excuse not to love them. 

2. Watermelons


One beautiful thing about watermelons is that it is over 91% water. This fact alone is a good reason to stuck up and have a daily intake of watermelons to guarantee hydration. Being hydrated keeps headaches away. Watermelons have potassium, magnesium and high water content, which reduces excessive sodium in the body.

3. Bananas


Bananas are so easy to eat. They are sweet and nourishing, and every bite is worth it. Bananas are rich in soluble fibre and have the ability to reduce the amount of cholesterol. You can take bananas by themselves with groundnuts or add them to your smoothies or shakes. 

4. Avocados


Avocado is actually a fruit, in case you are confused seeing it on the list. This super fruit is a great one because it is low in sugar, yet it is delicious to eat and packed with nutrients. Avocados supply healthy fatty acids good for the heart, and equally supplies magnesium which is said to be an important mineral connected to muscular and neurological functions. You can eat avocado by itself, eat it with bread, or add it to your smoothies. 

5. Apples


It’s cliche but, an apple a day definitely keeps the doctor away. Apples are packed with fibre, vitamin C, and phytochemicals and this should be eaten by the whole family. They contain phenolic compounds which are antioxidant compounds that are great in aiding the healthy cellular function and proper flow of blood. It has been proven that apples when eaten frequently, have the possibility of reducing the potential risk of heart disease.

6. Oranges


Oranges are refreshing fruits to take, and as we know, they are loaded with vitamin C, but that’s not all. Oranges and other citrus fruits have antioxidative, anti-inflammatory and anti-cancer properties, now isn’t that amazing!! 

Oranges can be taken on their own and can also be used in different other ways. 

7. Guavas


Guavas are tropical fruits which are delicious and packed with vitamin C, potassium, fibre, and some levels of folate. They are good ways of boosting your immune system. Guavas can be taken on their own or added to different recipes. 

8. Strawberries


This fruit is bright red, it’s sweet and it’s juicy. They are packed with vitamin C and antioxidants and are great for the health of the heart and the control of blood sugar. They also are a good source of manganese and contain a great amount of vitamin B9 and potassium too. 

Strawberries are usually eaten raw on their own and can be used in the making of desserts, jams and jellies.

Grapes are excellent sources of vitamin C and are packed with other amazing nutrients like vitamin K, antioxidants and potassium. Eating them is nourishing and you’ll feel all the goodness that comes from them.

Citrus fruits are high in vitamin C and lemons are not left out. Lemons are also high in flavonoids, folate and potassium which all have good benefits for the body. You can make lemonades from lemons and they can be added to different recipes.
