Long Live Lagos! Pack your bags, New York – Lagos is coming to you this June, and it’s riding on a starboy wave.

Wizkid, Nigeria’s Grammy-winning global icon, is about to light up the 2025 Tribeca Film Festival with the premiere of his brand-new documentary, “Long Live Lagos.” Running from June 1 to 15, this year’s festival will witness the fusion of Afrobeat rhythm and Naija energy on one of the world’s biggest cultural stages.

Directed by Karam Gill and produced alongside Daniel Malikyar, Long Live Lagos isn’t just another documentary — it’s a raw, personal journey through the life of the Afrobeats king. From his early days growing up in Surulere to rocking mega arenas like Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, this film captures the beats, the hustle, and the soul of Wizkid and the city that raised him.

In his words, shared on Instagram: “We made this documentary when life got crazy for me. Playing Tottenham Hotspur Stadium while dealing with life! Glad I get to have my amazing fans and family on this journey with me. This is love! From a real place!
