Tiwa Savage is making big waves with her new album This One Is Personal, and she just reminded us why she’s called the Queen of Afrobeats. The star recently took over BBC Radio 1Xtra’s Album Launch Party with a special live performance that had fans glued to their screens.
Looking chic in all black with her band and a bold red backdrop behind her, Tiwa delivered powerful performances of tracks like Angel Dust, Holding It Down, 10, and On the Low with Skepta. It wasn’t just about singing ,each song came with so much emotion and storytelling that you could literally feel the passion in every line.
During her sit-down chat, Tiwa spoke about what inspired This One Is Personal, her journey as one of Africa’s biggest music exports, and how she balances being a global superstar with motherhood. She also opened up about how she keeps reinventing herself while staying at the top of the Afrobeats scene.
