TikTok star Amadou “Jarvis” Aminata has opened up about why her wedding with fellow content creator Habeeb “Peller” Hamzat hasn’t happened yet, even though the two got engaged late last year.
Jarvis, 23, revealed during a recent TikTok live that Peller’s young age is one of the major reasons for the delay. According to her, if Peller were older, they probably would have been married by now. She explained that she doesn’t want to pressure him into marriage when he’s still figuring out life.
“I’m old enough to get married, but his age is slowing me down. If he were older than me, by now we’d be married. I don’t want to pressure him — that would look like I have evil plans. I want him to learn and see what life actually is.” Jarvis said

She also admitted that she plans to marry in about three years, but raised concerns about Peller’s financial stability, saying his income wasn’t steady at the moment.
Peller, on the other hand, brushed off the age talk. For him, the real issue is Jarvis’ parents. He fears they could one day step in and take her away from him.
“It’s a lie. Amaka’s daddy can just wake up one day and say, ‘I want to take Jarvis away from Lagos.’ They can take her anytime. She’s not safe. She likes me so much, but she’s acting as if she’s 30 years old.” Peller said
The couple has been in the spotlight before. Recall when a viral video showed Peller pushing Jarvis after a Seyi Vibes concert in Lagos? That clip sparked all sorts of reactions online. Jarvis later cleared the air, saying Peller never abused her and that if he had, she would have left long ago.
Peller also defended himself, explaining that the push wasn’t violent at all — he was only trying to shield her from area boys who had rushed at them, asking for money.
For now, Jarvis and Peller remain engaged, with their love story still unfolding — just not walking down the aisle yet.
