Nigerian music sensation Ahmed Ololade, popularly known as Asake, has reached a new milestone on Spotify, with his monthly listeners surpassing 7 million. This achievement solidifies his position as one of the most popular artists on the platform, further cementing his international recognition and massive following.

Asake’s unique sound and style have been instrumental in his success, which comes on the heels of his previous achievements. Notably, he was named the most streamed artist in Nigeria by Spotify in 2023, a testament to his dedication to his craft and his talent.

This milestone is significant, as it highlights Asake’s ability to transcend borders and appeal to a global audience. His music has been well-received across various markets, with the UK being the second biggest market for his music, followed by the United States, Canada, and France.

Asake’s success on Spotify is a reflection of his hard work and the impact his music has had on listeners worldwide. His ability to blend different genres such as afrobeat, pop, and R&B has created a unique sonic experience that keeps listeners engaged and wanting more.

The artist’s latest album, “Work of Art,” which was released on June 16, 2023, has 14 tracks that showcase his prowess and ability to seamlessly blend genres. The album has been well-received by fans and critics alike, with Spotify describing it as a “sprawling compendium of auditory splendour that demonstrates the breadth and depth of Asake’s sonic ingenuity.”

Asake’s journey to this milestone has been marked by several notable achievements. His debut album “Mr. Money With The Vibe” dominated the soundscape and propelled him to superstar status, producing six of his most streamed songs on the platform. His track “Sungba” (Burna Boy remix) is his number-one streamed song on Spotify and his most exported track.

The artist’s popularity has also been reflected in his performance on Spotify’s African Heat Playlist, where he and Ayra Starr have dominated the charts. Ayra Starr has surpassed Tyla to become the African artist with the most Spotify listeners.

Asake’s success is a testament to his dedication to his craft and his ability to connect with listeners worldwide. His achievement of 7 million monthly listeners on Spotify is a significant milestone in his career and a reflection of his growing global influence.
