When we look back at the hairstyles that defined TV history, reactions are often a mix of nostalgia and amusement. While the practical yet dated looks of The Golden Girls might not inspire a salon rush today, iconic styles like Cybill Shepherd’s voluminous waves in Moonlighting, Debbie Allen’s chic curls in Fame, and Sarah Jessica Parker’s bold choices in Sex and the City remain unforgettable. However, few TV hairstyles have reached the iconic status of Farrah Fawcett’s feathered waves from Charlie’s Angels. Now, another legend has embraced this timeless look to ring in the new year: Cardi B.

The rapper welcomed 2025 in style, performing and partying at Miami’s E11EVEN nightclub. Dressed to turn heads, she wore a daring black lace bustier paired with matching opera gloves and a dramatic green velvet skirt that skimmed the floor. The skirt featured a bold thigh-high slit, perfectly complementing her show-stopping ensemble. While the outfit exuded lingerie-inspired elegance, Cardi’s hair was the true standout.

Channeling Farrah Fawcett’s signature ’70s blowout, Cardi’s nearly pitch-black hair cascaded in layers of glossy, outward-flipped waves. The middle-parted style, full of volume and bounce, shimmered with a shine so luminous it could likely be spotted from miles away.

To complete her look, Cardi opted for subtle yet striking makeup. Her cheeks were lightly flushed, and her mauve-brown ombré lips paired beautifully with matching eyeshadow. Adding a modern twist, she wore light-green color contacts that popped against her glowing complexion. Fluffy, fanned-out lashes provided the perfect finishing touch, mirroring the dramatic swoop of her hair.

In a video shared on Instagram, Cardi strutted down a hotel hallway, her layers bouncing with every step and her glossy locks practically commanding attention. It was a moment that not only celebrated her undeniable star power but also paid homage to a hairstyle that has stood the test of time.

Some trends are fleeting, but styles like Farrah Fawcett’s iconic blowout prove they’re worth carrying into the future. Cardi B’s fresh take on this classic look is the perfect reminder that vintage inspiration can still feel new, bold, and undeniably chic.
