Africa is warming up for AFCON 2025 long before the first whistle, and the party is already in motion. Leading the celebration is Nigerian Afrobeats heavyweight Davido, who has been confirmed as one of the headline performers for the official AFCON 2025 kick-off concert. The show goes down on Saturday, December 20, at the OLM Souissi Fan Zone in Rabat, Morocco.
Davido will share the stage with an exciting mix of global and African stars, including French Montana, Moroccan pop favourite Douaa Lahyaoui, rising act Says’z, and Franco-Moroccan hitmaker Lartiste. The lineup alone signals that this is not just a concert, but a full-scale cultural moment.
Organised by CAF, TotalEnergies, and the Kingdom of Morocco, the concert is being positioned as one of the most ambitious entertainment programmes ever tied to AFCON. Fans with valid Fan IDs or match tickets can attend for free from 6 pm to midnight, enjoying a vibrant blend of Afrobeats, pop, urban sounds, and traditional influences as football and music collide.
Davido’s inclusion feels like a natural fit. Over the years, he has become a familiar face at major global events, from the 2017 AFCON opening ceremony to the 2022 FIFA World Cup final in Qatar.
