Google Just Launched Doppl, a Fashion App That Lets You Try On Outfits Without Actually Wearing Them

Google has launched a brand-new app called Doppl, and it’s making waves in both tech and fashion circles. Doppl is designed to let you visualize how any outfit might look on you—yes, on you, not some generic model.

The app uses AI to superimpose clothing onto your full-body photo, giving you a glimpse of what that piece might actually look like when worn. But it doesn’t stop at just photos; Doppl also creates short videos, so you can see how the outfit might move with your body.

This makes styling more personal, especially for those who often find it hard to picture how online pieces will fit their unique shape or style.

While the concept of virtual try-ons isn’t exactly new, Doppl is doing things differently. It’s not just a filter or a simple overlay—it feels tailored. The experience is built to help you experiment with your wardrobe in a way that feels fun and interactive.

Want to try that trending Asoebi style or a statement piece before committing? Just upload an outfit image and let the app show you how it might look on you. For fashion lovers and online shoppers, this could be a game changer.

That said, Doppl is still in its experimental phase. It’s currently only available on iOS and Andriod in the U.S. and is limited to users aged 18 and up. It might not always get the fit or texture perfect, but it’s already a bold step into the future of fashion tech.

Google is clearly testing the waters here, and depending on user feedback, the app could evolve into something even more advanced, maybe even integrated with shopping platforms or wardrobe planners in the future.

At Glamcityz, we’re always excited about anything that makes styling easier, more personal, and more fun. Whether it’s a casual streetwear look or an Owambe slay, being able to see yourself in a piece before buying could save you time, money, and plenty of fashion heartbreaks.

We’ll definitely be keeping our eyes on Doppl—and fingers crossed that it becomes available in Nigeria soon. Until then, it’s one more sign that fashion and technology are becoming best friends. Would you try it when it launches here?
