Controversial Nigerian investigative journalist, Kemi Olunloyo, is once again shaking the table—this time by reviving a bold accusation against Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo.
In a recent post on her verified Facebook page, Olunloyo repeated earlier claims that the actress once worked in the adult film industry in the Benin Republic before rising to fame in mainstream Nollywood.
According to the journalist, the actress has deliberately hidden this chapter of her life to maintain what she called a “clean image” in Nigeria’s entertainment industry.
“A year ago, nobody believed me,” Olunloyo wrote. “Iyabo Ojo has been fielding a false narrative for years that she was r_ped five times—something she did for followers and attention, plus to cover up the real story. Five different men knacked her in adult films.”
But Olunloyo didn’t stop there. She further alleged that Iyabo Ojo fled to Canada after admitting (behind the scenes) to falsely accusing singer Naira Marley and music promoter Sam Larry in connection to the tragic death of rising star, Mohbad. Olunloyo claimed the actress refused to issue a written apology and chose instead to leave the country, avoiding public accountability.
“After admitting to tarnishing NM and SL in the Mohbad case, refusing to do a written apology, and then fleeing to Canada—do you now believe she was forcefully violated five times?” she questioned in her post.
These renewed claims have stirred mixed reactions online, with some followers questioning Olunloyo’s motives and others demanding clarity from Iyabo Ojo. As of now, the actress has yet to publicly respond to the allegations.
As always, the drama continues in Nollywood—and this time, it’s not on screen.
