Megan Thee Stallion Replies Drake Over His Lyrics In New Song

Megan Thee Stallion

American rapper, Megan Thee Stallion has fired back at Drake for his new song “Circo Loco,” which implied that she lied about getting shot by Tory Lanez.

In the album lyric, Drake calls Megan Thee Stallion a lier saying, “This b*tch lie bout getting shots, but she still a stallion, she don’t even get the joke, but she still smiling … clearly referring to her getting shot in the foot in 2020 while in a car with Tory Lanez.

Later in the song, Drake seems to reference her again, rapping, “Shorty say she graduated, she ain’t learn enough / Play your album, track one, ‘kay, I heard enough.” The latter line may be alluding to Megan’s graduation from Texas Southern University in 2021.

Replying to Drake, Megan Thee Stallion tweeted, “People attack me y’all go up for it, I defend myself now I’m doing too much … every time it never ends and this did NOT happen until I came out and said I got shot … y’all don’t fwm okay cool fuck it bye . . . “Ready to boycott bout shoes and clothes but dog pile on a black woman when she says one of y’all homeboys abused her.”

In an interview with Rolling Stone in June, Megan reported that she and Lanez had a growing friendship until a July 2020 confrontation during which Lanez reportedly shot her feet while yelling. The “Traumazine” artist detailed the traumatic experiences that followed the incident, including hospitalization for bullet shards in her feet. Lanez, who pleaded not guilty, is currently on house arrest as he awaits trial, which is scheduled to begin on Nov. 28.

Megan continued to defend herself on Twitter, adding, “People attack me y’all go up for it, I defend myself now I’m doing too much … every time it never ends and this did NOT happen until I came out and said I got shot.” Despite the backlash she’s received for coming forward with her story, she continues to highlight the importance of supporting and believing victims, especially Black women who are speaking up about their trauma.

Whether or not Drake’s lyrics are about Megan and Lanez’s confrontation is unconfirmed.
