Human rights lawyer Femi Falana (SAN) and his son, musician and activist Falz, are demanding a public apology from Idris Okuneye, also known as Bobrisky, over allegedly defamatory statements.
The Falana family took action after audio recordings surfaced online, where Bobrisky made several unverified claims about them.
In the recordings, Bobrisky alleged that he had reached out to Falz to help convince his father, Femi Falana, to secure a presidential pardon for N10 million.
He also claimed to have paid a Senior Advocate of Nigeria N5 million upfront for a Federal Government pardon regarding charges from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
In a response issued on October 14, 2024, Falana’s legal team refuted these claims, calling them baseless and damaging.
They demanded a retraction and public apology from Bobrisky, threatening further legal action if these demands aren’t met.
