Recognizing her extraordinary spirit of intrepidity and adventure during her solo road trip from London to Lagos, Pelumi Nubi has been appointed as the brand ambassador for Lagos State tourism. In a heartfelt ceremony organized by the Lagos State government, Governor Babajide Sanwolu personally gave Pelumi the keys to a brand-new car and presented her with a new residence in Lagos.
Pelumi, reflecting on her past experiences as an avid traveller, expressed her motivation for embarking on her recent solo road trip from London to Lagos. Growing up between Lagos, Nigeria, and the UK, Pelumi wanted to reconnect with her roots and explore more of her continent, particularly the West African region she felt she hadn’t fully experienced. Feeling a lack of representation and visibility of explorers like herself in the media, Pelumi felt driven to challenge the status quo and redefine the narrative surrounding African tourism.
Steered by audacity and a thirst for adventure, Pelumi embarked on her journey, determined to carve her path and share her experiences with the world. Along the way, she encountered a series of captivating events and faced challenges that tested her resilience and determination.
