Joy Ebere Ekekwe Is Miss Tourism Nigeria 2023!
Joy Ebere Ekekwe emerged victorious as the winner of the 11th edition of the Miss Tourism Nigeria competition held at Rushing Tap Studios, Lekki. Despite facing stiff competition from over 300 beauty queens who participated in this year’s event, the 26-year-old financial consultant and business owner came out on top. The judging criteria for the 2023 competition went beyond traditional beauty standards, as the contestants were evaluated based on various life skills such as cooking, physical fitness, and their knowledge of Nigeria’s diverse cultures.
Joy will now proudly represent Nigeria at the 2023 Miss World Tourism competition, scheduled to take place from July 20th to July 30th in Colombo, Sri Lanka. The runners-up, Somtochukwu Maduagwu, will represent Nigeria at the Miss Tourism World pageant in China while Sophia Adaeze (Miss Glam Nigeria) will represent Nigeria in India and Loveth Oyetunji (Miss Tourism Africa Nigeria) will represent Nigeria at the Miss Tourism Africa pageant in September.
